“Grinding Out Films Because it’s Our Passion.” Meet Some of Our Filmmakers

M onArc Filmz Director and Producer presented The Wrong Crowd in our first FRIENDSFILMFESTIVAL held at the Gill Gallery in East Point near Atlanta, GA. Hakim Chenault is a multimedia artist. He writes, scores, produces, and films most of his projects. Hakim Chenault, MonArc Filmz Director studied Film Production at Long Island University, and he has a Master’s in Education. His interest in screenwriting began as an adolescent. His film career began in music video production. The Wrong Crowd was his first short film.

Geechee One Films is led by Felicia Rivers, a filmmaker out of Charleston, S. C. In recent years she has produced about twenty films. Several of her projects can be found on Tubi and Amazon. Felecia holds a degree in Mass Communication from Claflin University. She has won several awards for her filmmaking.

Eugene Butler is a graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta has earned a degree in video editing. He was the creator of the long-running Timothy Thomas Show airing nearly ten uears on Manhattan Neighborhood Network Television Channel. Besides the show’s focus on programming highlighting satire in real life, it focused on fitness and featured fitness guru Tina Thompson-Pope and superstars of Rasslin Riot Wrestling Worldwide. Eugene also has a background in theatre writing, acting, and stage production.
